JOB OVERVIEW


CNPSA is seeking a results-driven professional to join the on-site team in the role Expert Implementation Works Execution to support local and international team members as part of the Project Management Organization. Reporting to the Superintendent Implementation Works this role will be a representative of CNPSA supporting SNN in the refurbishment of the Cernavoda Unit 1 


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

 

  • Support Project Mangers in the evaluation for acceptance of detailed solutions, technical specifications, implementation, and testing plans with respect to implementation and works execution
  • Provide oversight and verification of the complex implementation and testing plans for critical activities in the refurbishment project
  • Monitor and ensure that design and refurbishment activities are performed in accordance approved project schedule, budget, and relevant QA processes
  • Define and manage interfaces and scope between discipline-specific design areas to ensure that sufficient resources are allocated to each stage of project

  • Provide design expertise and verify system-level design documentation
  • Provide assurance that design and manufacturing activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs, and applicable procedures
  • Adhere to on-time/on-budget criteria associated with refurbishment commitments and success


EDUCATION 

 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Direct involvement in a CANDU Refurbishment Project/Organization will be an advantage
  • 10 years relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with CANDU Nuclear Power Plants
  • In depth knowledge of site outage/installation/maintenance of CANDU Nuclear Power Plants
  • Comprehensive understanding of CANDU technology and operations, with expertise in design engineering
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and lead
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality products under tight timelines and high pressure to support unit restart schedules
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in leading technical projects to successful completion
  • A Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO) or eligible for PEO status with a passion for engineering
  • Experience in project management is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have demonstrated a high commitment to quality
  • Strong attention to detail and to quality assurance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team situation
  • Romanian Language proficiency would be beneficial, but is not a requirement
