We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Intern for our North American Acciona Energy business development team. The Business Development Intern will gain a meaningful work experience by assisting the team with our new Solar PV, Battery storage and Wind energy projects. This is a great opportunity for Juniors or Seniors to gain exposure to the renewable energy industry with potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Business Development Team to move projects through green field development  , mid stage development and, and investment approval stages
  • Assist to coordinate feasibility studies and project development activities with cross functional resources, peers, and outside consultants to ensure project stays on track
  • May assist Environmental Manager to define, apply for and manage complex federal, state, and local environmental, construction, and related permits.
  • Participate in the development of market intelligence materials and reports regarding new potential  partners, project acquisition opportunities and green field opportunities
  • Learn to identify, develop and effectively communicate with existing and new relationships. These include land owners, partners, government officials, technical experts, utilities,consultants, and support community outreach efforts with stakeholders
  • Assist to prepare detailed  presentations and project analysis for presentation to key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Support business development team with managing project documentation for internal and external uses.
  • Coordinate with organizational departments to prepare and respond to project applications, requests for proposals, and other various opportunities related to project development
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Competencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Physical or Social Sciences, Engineering, Finance or related discipline
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to operate at a detailed level, to prioritize, organize and multi-task, with a dedication to seeing tasks through to completion
  • Ability to read and interpret topographic and other land use maps, preferably experience with Geographic Information Systems 
  • Have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
