About Us

Euclid Power is a growing software and services company building the operating system for the renewable energy industry. Our data management and workflow tools help project developers and investors build more renewable energy projects, faster and more reliably.

Euclid is trusted by some of the largest solar investors, solar developers, utilities, and technology integrators to provide software, guidance, and project diligence support. Euclid is currently a 70-person team led by a world-class team of renewable energy and software veterans. Our solutions have driven the creation of over 3GW of renewable energy capacity across hundreds of projects.

We are looking to grow with people who are hardworking, passionate, and committed to our mission. Hires at this stage will immediately contribute to the DNA of our product, processes, and, most importantly, culture. At Euclid, learning, developing, and testing the best ideas are central to our approach to solving one of the world’s most important challenges: climate change.

About The Role & Team Culture

We are excited to add a Tech Leader Manager to our product development team. This individual will join our team of ten people who are committed to making a sizable impact on the future of renewable energy. This is a remote role with hubs in NY, SF, and PDX and we are only hiring candidates based in the US at this time. The Tech Lead Manager role is a 50/50 split between engineering and managing a small team. This role is a good fit for folks who enjoy flexing between technical and people work and can evolve over time.

Our current tech stack is Rails / React / Postgres but we’re looking to hire someone who has experience with a range of technologies, comes up to speed on new tools quickly, and can help us evolve our stack. As a team, we look for engineers who contribute to our values: continuous learning, taking the initiative and a bias to action, empathetic collaboration, and pride of craft.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team, working with product and the CTO to find opportunities, set direction, and drive projects forward, all while connecting your team to the larger organization.
  • Manage up to four individual engineers, helping them grow and develop new skills by providing constructive feedback and development opportunities to boost team effectiveness.
  • Push our engineering culture to be even more nimble, efficient, and collaborative, drawing on past successes.
  • Help choose solutions to product challenges that tame complexity and balance performance, flexibility, and reliability.
  • Guide exploration of new technology areas, including the application of machine learning to solar project development.
  • Contribute high-quality code across the stack, particularly on the backend, and actively participate in code reviews and design reviews
  • Get up to speed on the problem domain of solar project development; bring ideas for product features and high-leverage infrastructure investments

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a technical leadership and/or people management capacity.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers and, ideally, previous management experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally, in engineering team and cross-functional settings.
  • Experience with mentorship/coaching, career development, and conflict resolution.
  • Broad full-stack experience including React, Rails, Java, and/or Go
  • Deep experience architecting web services and generating novel solutions to problems with complexity and scale
  • Track record of onboarding/getting up to speed quickly and driving technical and cultural improvements at previous roles
  • Ability to communicate and drive work forward in remote environments, across competing priorities

What We Provide

  • Benefits package (401K, Health Insurance, Remote Work, Paid Time Off, 13 Paid Holidays)
  • Opportunity for early equity awards and share in the growth of the firm you are helping build
  • Opportunity to learn and grow in a truly supportive, collaborative, dynamic, and diverse environment
  • Exposure to the heart of the growing renewable energy industry
  • Work that matters

We are committed to building an inclusive working environment and doing our part to create a more equitable world. We strongly encourage applicants from underrepresented and/or historically marginalized communities to apply.

The base salary range for this role is $190,000-$220,000 with an equity award as part of your all-in compensation. The actual base salary and equity is dependent upon many factors, such as education, experience, skills, and internal compensation equity. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity and benefits.
