Description

The Role: Business Operations Specialist

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Business Operations Specialist is crucial to the company’s success because he/she will be integral to the scaling of the company’s operational processes. As an international and growing organization LIFTE requires fit-for-purpose processes and a staff capable of running, managing, and maturing these processes over time. The Business Operations Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day project financial analysis and reconciliation, and, working with the company’s third-party accountants and internal staff, will update and manage the company’s accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Support LIFTE program managers with project-level resources (e.g. internal time writing), financial analyses and reporting.
  • Collaborating with the company’s third-party accountants and internal operations team, update and manage the company’s accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Under the guidance of the Chief of Staff develop company-wide monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports.
  • Provide assistance in driving other operational priorities as needed (e.g., human resources, business analysis).

Additional Details

  • Limited travel required based on company growth
  • Position is based in Boston, Massachusetts or Berlin, Germany
  • Combination of virtual and in office working (80/20)

Requirements

What Experience & Education is Required?

  • For US: Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis. LIFTE participates in e-Verify.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a business discipline or other relevant field.
  • 5+ years experience of demonstrated success managing and delivering complex project financial reporting.
  • CPA or studying for CPA a strong plus.

What Skills are Necessary for Success?

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate financial reports concisely, clearly, and effectively across multiple levels including executive leadership team, peers, and managers.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
