The Role: Senior Program Manager

The Senior Program Manager is crucial to the company’s success because he/she will be accountable for the on-time and on-budget performance of one or more of the company’s programs. These programs range from pilot projects implementing the company’s proprietary digital platform, to engineering consulting agreements, to large deployments of next-generation hydrogen infrastructure in remote international locations.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Actively lead one or more programs, from initiation to operations transition phases, in a manner that is on-budget, on-schedule, and with sufficient quality that delights our customers.
  • Continuously manage and accurately report health of programs (schedule, budget, resources, risks) to LIFTE senior management, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Effectively build customer trust in LIFTE capability of delivering complex and technically high-risk projects internationally in the new hydrogen infrastructure emerging industry
  • Support the scoping of new late-stage project/program opportunities.
  • Provide input and coordination of company resources across the portfolio of programs.
  • Support the development of hydrogen-specific project management processes for safely delivering new state-of-the-art hydrogen production and refueling facilities in innovative heavy duty vehicle applications.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety in the delivery of hydrogen projects, especially in the construction, install, and commissioning phase of plants and refueling stations.

Additional Details

  • Domestic and international travel required based on project demands and company growth.
  • Position is based in Boston, Massachusetts or Berlin, Germany.
  • Combination of virtual and in office working (80/20).
  • US visa and green card sponsorship based on mutual agreement.

Requirements

What Experience & Education is Required?

  • For US: Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis. LIFTE participates in e-Verify.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering discipline or other relevant field.
  • 10+ years experience of demonstrated success leading complex projects and/or programs, often working on multiple projects simultaneously leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience in deploying projects where new products/technologies are deployed and rolled out for the first time as part of the project objective
  • Experience in managing EPCs and many stakeholders in complex relationship environments
  • Project management training and certification (PMP, PgMP, CSM, etc).

What Skills are Necessary for Success?

  • Ability to lead and direct by influence.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate complex concepts concisely, clearly, and effectively across multiple levels including executive leadership team, pears, and managers.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Expert in MS Project and other top project management tools to manage schedule, costs, risks engaging and updating live program status to customers
