Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Global Reward Operations Lead in South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Global Reward Operations Lead you will be responsible for owning, orchestrating and running key annual global reward processes across Scatec, as well as supporting the management and evolution of the global reward programme for a market leader in renewable energy, ensuring the programme remains competitive and aligned with the organisation’s strategy and business objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of compensation practices.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the Scatec annual global reward processes including salary reviews, performance/bonus cycle, benchmarking, option and share programmes
  • Develop reward training materials and run capability building sessions with leaders and engagement sessions with employees to support the various reward cycles and priorities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of compensation data identifying trends and strategic insights to inform the global salary review
  • Manage the global benchmarking across Scatec’s biggest geographies, updating and communicating new pay range information to key stakeholders
  • Benchmark compensation packages against external market to ensure competitiveness, providing recommendations for adjustments where necessary
  • Support the design, implementation, and management of variable pay and incentive programs to drive performance and reward top talent
  • Conduct job evaluations to determine appropriate job levels, titles, and salary ranges, ensuring consistency across the organization
  • Generate regular reports on compensation metrics and trends, providing actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Communicate compensation and benefits to employees, managers, and stakeholders while ensuring understanding and alignment
  • Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging regulations in compensation and benefits to inform the development of innovative reward strategies.
  • Ensure that all compensation and benefits programs adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, including equal pay and other relevant laws

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCP, CBP) are a plus
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Compensation or Reward Analyst, preferably in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Ability to manipulate and interpret complex data sets
  • Proficiency in using compensation analysis tools and software
  • Strong understanding of compensation practices, market trends, and legal regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and must be able to maintain data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
