We all take initiative and remain adaptable, overcoming obstacles by prioritizing respect.</div>Position DescriptionThe GMS (Generation Management System) Engineer is a contract position, reporting to the Head of Digital Technology will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Origis Energy’s GMS (Generation Management System), which monitors and controls multiple utility-scale renewable energy power plants.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Design, implementation, and maintenance of all OSI Monarch related applications, including OpenSCADA, OpenCalc, OpenHIS, OpenICCP, OpenOPC, etc.</li><li>Work closely with other engineers to ensure the successful integration of plant SCADA systems into GMS environment.</li><li>Participate in onboarding of new projects into the GMS, including point-to-point testing with plant SCADA systems.</li><li>Develop and maintain documentation related to the GMS, including user manuals, maintenance guides, and standard operating procedures.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the GMS in a timely manner.</li><li>Train end-users and other engineers on the use and maintenance of OSI Monarch.</li><li>Support the implementation and deployment of security patches and software updates to the OSI Monarch platform.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and/or maintaining OSI Monarch systems within electrical power production environments.</li><li>Strong programming skills.</li><li>Knowledge of various communication protocols, including OPC, DNP3, and Modbus.</li><li>Familiarity with industrial control systems and their components, such as sensors, relays, circuit breakers and controllers.</li><li>Strong understanding of ISO requirements, including CAISO, MISO, +</li><li>ERCOT, PJM, etc.</li><li>Knowledge of NERC and cyber security requirements for low and medium impact facilities.</li><li>Ability to work well in a team environment.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li></ul> Location   Austin, TX Travel   Up to 10% travel required as necessaryJob Level   Manager – no direct reports <div>Origis Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOC).
