Job Description
We are looking for an experienced
B2B business development leader with a soft touch and a proven track record in leading
digital enterprise solutions sales across Africa to join our client as the Chief of Sales.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow a
sales function that will have a significant impact across
multiple industries, including
agriculture,
energy, and more. Our client is a market leader in providing
enterprise-grade digital solutions to both the
public and
private sectors across Africa. With an
expanding portfolio of clients, they require an expert in
B2B technology sales to build and
grow their sales function, driving
commercial success and accelerating
business growth across the Sub-Saharan region.
As the
Chief of Sales, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the
sales business function,
optimising existing sales channels,
activating new opportunities, and
implementing a
high-
performing sales operating model. Your leadership will guide both
inbound and outbound sales teams, ensuring that our client consistently
meets and
exceeds revenue,
contract value, and
profitability targets, including
contribution margin,
EBIT, and
cash flow.
Our ideal candidate is commercially minded and has
10+ years of experience in
digital enterprise solution sales, with a strong understanding of
SaaS and B2B sales dynamics.
You are a
strategic leader with proven success in
building and scaling sales functions and managing
complex sales strategies. An
expert negotiator with experience working at the
EXCO-level and engaging with
public and
private sector organisations.

- Channel Management: Enhance the performance of current sales channels while identifying and activating new ones to ensure sustained growth
- Team Leadership: Build, grow, and manage high-performance inbound and outbound sales teams, fostering a culture of success and accountability
- Revenue Growth: Deliver on revenue and contract value targets in line with key business metrics
- Executive Collaboration: Serve on the Executive Committee, collaborating with leadership to drive business growth and operational excellence
- EXCO-level Negotiations: Engage in complex solution sales negotiations and professional discussions with senior stakeholders, ensuring the successful closure of high-value deals
