Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, Biomedical & Beauty, this role will interface with senior leadership and take responsibility for the commercialization of biomaterials produced using Modern Meadow's advanced application platforms for the improvement of human health and healing, particularly in the areas of dermatology and regenerative medicine.

Responsibilities will include commercial and regulatory strategy, competitive intelligence, financial modeling, and building partnerships to bring biomedical technologies to market, including research, co-development, co-marketing, contract manufacturing, as well as technology licensing and joint ventures.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to commercialize proprietary technology in medical aesthetics, including assessing unmet market needs, clinical and regulatory pathways, and potential exits
  • In collaboration with R&D, provide commercial input on research projects to advance product development, validate market opportunities, and optimize allocation of resources.
  • Working with external advisors and clinical research organizations, design and oversee the clinical development of biomedical product candidates and communications with the FDA.
  • Identify commercial partners with complementary capabilities and build ongoing relationships through continuous business development and networking.
  • Oversee alliance management of existing commercial and research collaborations.
  • Develop and validate assumptions using market research, and build financial models to support senior leadership investment and resource allocations decisions
  • Assess competitive landscape within medical aesthetics and regenerative medicine, unmet needs, and opportunities for competitive differentiation
  • Manage and allocation time and resources across an opportunity portfolio pipeline, and inform lifecycle management decisions
  • Support and lead negotiation of research, licensing, co-development, co-marketing agreements and joint ventures, as directed by the General Manager.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree, MD or PhD in Life sciences; and/OR MBA; dual-degree holders preferred
  • 10+ years full-time work experience in Biomedical Research; Strategy; Consulting; Finance; Marketing; or Healthcare
  • 3-5 years experience in Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Medicine (esp. dermatology), Biopharmaceuticals
  • Expertise with market segmentation, industry analysis, pricing, supply chain, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare, clinical practice, and regulatory pathways. Familiarity with the differences between the regulatory paths of drugs, biologics, and medical devices.
  • Experience working with product development, intellectual property, partnership negotiation, and/or alliance management
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage competing responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal, meeting skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office
