Job Description

Axiom Cloud’s got a problem. Our customers include several major North American grocery chains, and we are on track to deploy our solution at our 100th customer site in the coming months. We’ll need to deliver thousands more soon afterward.

It’s a great problem to have: we have tons of traction on a solidly validated product-market fit. The key is to deliver robust, enterprise-grade services as we rapidly scale up. We are therefore seeking a Product Engineer who will design, deploy, and test the next generation of our products and features in an effort to enable enterprise-scale capability and robustness.

What You’ll Do

As Axiom Cloud scales up, we remain deeply focused on developing high-quality product features that deliver value for our customers. You will report directly to the VP of Product and work together on the following strategic initiatives:

  • Manage, design, test, and commission new software features to improve Axiom’s suite of product offerings.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve software/hardware challenges at the intersection of refrigeration, thermodynamics, energy and facilities management, and enterprise software.
  • Perform data-driven analyses in Python to inform product feature and commissioning decisions.
  • Generate and maintain best practices for Axiom’s Product Team.
  • Manage communication with relevant stakeholders and drive incubation of new features.
  • Build tools in Python to assist with development and testing.
  • Leverage the skills of our unique and exceptional cross-functional staff to create innovative solutions to physical engineering challenges.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of product documentation.

  • Interested in learning and developing a wide variety of software products, including dabbling in data analysis, and control using machine learning algorithms
  • An enthusiastic self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and has tenacity to persevere through complex situations
  • Passionate about technology innovation, product development, industrial IoT, and energy storage
  • Aligned with Axiom Cloud’s guiding principles (you will be asked to provide examples of how you embody these principles during interviews)

Key skills/technologies:

  • Able to clearly and effectively communicate with both internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Basic proficiency of an engineering or software programming language (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
  • Interdisciplinary engineering prowess, able to relate various fields of engineering

Nice to have skills/technologies:
