The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Center, is seeking an innovative and multi-skilled candidate to join its headquarters (HQ) as a Consultant - Agriculture, Economics, and Livelihood Development.
The Integrated Watershed and Water Resources Management Project (IWWRMP), funded by the World Bank at USD 75.03 million, is executed by the Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) through the Ministry of Irrigation (MI). The project's main objective is to enhance watershed and water resources planning while improving the functionality of water infrastructure. It comprises four components: Watershed and Water Resources Planning (Component 1), Infrastructure Improvements (Component 2), Contingent Emergency Response (Component 3), and Project Management (Component 4).
In this consulting arrangement, IWMI is tasked with developing a comprehensive Watershed Management Plan by consolidating the plans of 31 District Secretariat (DS) mini watersheds (as outlined in the submitted proposal) along with the responsibilities outlined in the Terms of Reference (TOR).
