The Quality Manager - Co-manufacturing will be responsible for managing Co-manufacturing food safety and quality for Nature's Fynd in N. America. The manager will lead the quality review, quality program development, and auditing of co-manufacturers.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead quality screening, selection, program and control plan development, and auditing of co-manufacturers
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing team on co-manufacturer selection
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team on co-manufacturer equipment selection, control plan, and trials
  • Lead internal audits and participate in third-party audits as necessary
  • Select and work closely with third-party testing laboratories for finished products
  • Review finished product documentation and testing for finished product release
  • Review customer complaints, investigate, and complete CAPAs
  • Contribute to researching and executing food certifications for products
  • Contribute effectively to the Quality team by maintaining compliance tools, updating policies and procedures, and striving for continuous improvement
  • Monitor the food safety and quality regulations

Education and work experience

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in life-science including Chemistry, Biology, or related technical field
  • 10+ years of food safety and regulatory experience with a track record of success
  • PCQI/HACCP Certified
  • Proven experience managing quality programs with co-manufacturers
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and verifying food safety plans
  • Proven experience working with and managing 3rd party testing laboratories
  • Proven track record of 3rd party certifications
