Responsibilities:

Assist the CF&S Electrical Maintenance team by supporting the following:

  • Gain practical experience with processes such as circuit troubleshooting, motor control, PLC programming, and application of education/experience to a real-world manufacturing situation.
  • Timely completion of electrical work orders with a high degree of craftsmanship, with support from the existing electrical maintenance group.
  • Familiarization and technical ability to optimize the CMMS system for managing work orders and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Identification of weak areas in the electrical maintenance program and proposed actions to resolve them.
  • Root cause analysis of electrical system failures.

Deliverables (Provide a broad scope of what intern’s job will entail):

  • Completion of electrical work orders as assigned.
  • Escalating longstanding electrical maintenance concerns to supervisor/engineering department.
  • Presentation of work and efforts completed during the internship period

Qualifications:

Desired Skills/Majors:

Associates/bachelor’s degree Electrical Systems Technology, Industrial/Control Systems Technology, or similar field. Good communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively on a team.
