About This Role:

The Senior Systems Engineer will play a critical role in managing, integrating, and securing Crusoe’s core business applications. This role requires a seasoned expert in OKTA and API integration, with a focus on automating processes and enhancing security protocols across Crusoe’s IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. OKTA and Core Applications Ownership

    • Lead the implementation, integration, and configuration of OKTA across the organization

    • Serve as the subject matter expert for OKTA, supporting the IT team with integration and configuration needs

    • Act as the primary point for OKTA integrations and changes, ensuring seamless connectivity with other core business applications

  1. Systems Integration and Automation

    • Drive integration efforts, working with API Integration Developers to connect unsupported platforms

    • Administer and leverage the Workato API platform for third-party integrations, achieving over 90% utilization of all available features

    • Continuously innovate and automate processes to maximize IT efficiency within Crusoe

  2. Security and Compliance

    • Implement robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) best practices, ensuring all applications comply with security and governance standards

    • Collaborate with compliance teams to perform audits and maintain security documentation

    • Apply a security-first approach, staying updated on OKTA and Workato’s feature roadmaps to champion adoption of security advancements

  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Documentation

    • Support systems uptime and reliability across office platforms by collaborating with the Systems Engineering team

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, support tickets, and knowledge bases

    • Provide timely communication and updates to stakeholders and end-users

Success in this Role Will Look Like:

  • Full OKTA integration across all business applications, with minimal downtime and high user satisfaction

  • Effective automation strategies implemented, reducing manual processes and enhancing operational efficiency

  • Compliance with all corporate security policies, demonstrated through successful audits and adherence to RBAC protocols

  • High engagement with cross-functional teams, ensuring systems stability and clear communication of technical updates

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in Systems Engineering or Identity and Access Management, specifically in roles focused on OKTA and API integration

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience

Skills and Expertise:

  • OKTA Consultant Certification and hands-on experience with OKTA Compliance, Governance, and Access Request Workflows

  • Proficiency in API development (J2EE, JSON, XML, PHP) and managing SAML, OIDC, OAuth applications in large enterprises

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace Enterprise and security policies

  • Strong automation skills, especially in OKTA and Workato platforms

  • Exceptional troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork abilities, with a proactive and collaborative approach

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $115,000 - $140,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
