Job Description

Earth Advantage is a Portland-based organization that supports the adoption of high performing, sustainable residential building practices through a three pronged approach: 1) promoting green home standards, 2) linking green home data to the residential real estate market, and 3) developing and providing training to key professionals. Earth Advantage’s goal is to provide knowledge to building professionals and information to consumers through certification, research, education, and software development to accelerate the building industry's adoption of sustainable practices. Earth Advantage is also the fiscal sponsor of the ZERO Coalition, a statewide building decarbonization effort. To learn more, visit: earthadvantage.org and zerocoalitionoregon.org.

In cooperation with Earth Advantage, Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI) is partnering with a diverse group of organizations to develop an Oregon Climate Equity Project (Project) to help diversify the climate movement in the State of Oregon and strengthen BIPOC leadership in climate policy advocacy and development. The Project seeks to help achieve these goals through the work of Climate Corps Fellows placed with key nonprofit and public sector organizations throughout the State.

The Fellow will address diversity gaps in Oregon’s building energy efficiency and clean energy workforce. Their Fellow will:

  • Research and develop a gap analysis to identify some of the most persistent gaps in the workforce pipeline as well as opportunities to address these gaps while ensuring quality jobs for all Oregonians
  • Develop workforce development training with a focus on the underserved populations
  • Provide training delivery support for Earth Advantage’s existing pre-apprenticeship workforce development training sessions that serve BIPOC communities
  • Support outreach and advocacy to advance equitable participation in the state's building energy code decision-making process.

SEI requires all employees to be Vaccinated against COVID-19.

SEI is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We strive to reflect the diverse communities we serve, especially those most impacted by climate change and other kinds of environmental, social, and economic injustices.
