We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product and CRM/Lifecycle Marketing Manager for a maternity leave cover.

As the Product Marketing & CRM Manager reporting to the CMO, you’ll play a crucial role in creating and managing marketing strategies that facilitate user engagement, retention, and long-term loyalty to Ecosia. Working at the intersection of product and marketing, you will develop campaigns that communicate Ecosia's value proposition, use data-driven insights to tailor the user journey and implement CRM strategies to strengthen our relationship with users.

This position calls for a mix of leadership, creativity, analytical skills, and an enthusiasm for creating impact.

What you'll do

Product Marketing

  1. Develop Go-To-Market Strategies

    • Craft and implement go-to-market plans for new features, updates, and product releases, ensuring alignment with the brand strategy.

    • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to understand and communicate Ecosia’s unique product differentiators.

  2. Refine Audience Segmentation & Personas

    • Refine user personas to shape product positioning and tailored campaigns.

    • Utilize data analytics and user feedback to refine target audience segments and improve user journeys.

  3. Market Analysis & Competitive Positioning

    • Research to stay current on competitor strategies and user trends, identifying opportunities for product improvements and differentiation.

    • Work closely with Analytics to monitor user behaviors and adapt marketing strategies for maximum engagement.

  4. Messaging & Content Strategy

    • Develop messaging that emphasizes Ecosia’s climate impact and aligns with our brand values.

    • Support content creation for product updates, blog posts, social media, and other channels in collaboration with channel leads to strengthen user engagement and education.

CRM and Lifecycle Marketing

  • CRM Strategy Development & Execution

    • Design, implement, and optimize CRM campaigns that nurture user loyalty and reinforce Ecosia’s mission of climate action.

    • Develop segmentation strategies for email, push notifications, and in-app messaging to increase user engagement.

  • User Retention & Engagement Initiatives

    • Design and support programs that encourage ongoing usage and retention, including seasonal and event-based campaigns.

    • Implement personalization strategies that highlight Ecosia’s environmental impact for each user.

  • Data-Driven Analysis & Optimization

    • Utilize CRM tools to evaluate user engagement metrics and adjust campaigns based on performance.

    • Conduct A/B testing to improve communication effectiveness and report on CRM impact to key stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with Brand & Comms, Local Markets, and Creative teams to align CRM initiatives with wider marketing campaigns and seasonal pushes.

    • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to integrate CRM insights into product development for enhanced user experiences.

What you bring

  • 7-10 years in Product Marketing, CRM, or Lifecycle Marketing, preferably within a digital consumer product or e-commerce environment.

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Braze, HubSpot), data analytics tools, and marketing automation. Working knowledge of HTML for emails, being able to amend code from templates. 

  • Comprehensive data mindset with a proven ability to interpret and act on data insights. Ability to analyze and report on campaign performance, using data to continuously improve and optimize marketing strategies, user segmentation, and messaging.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex product features into compelling narratives.

  • Ability to create innovative campaigns that engage users and communicate Ecosia’s environmental impact.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with copywriting experience. Written English should be native level.

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a fast, deadline-sensitive environment.
