About the role

Develop a deep technical understanding of an Afresh product category, e.g. Produce; proactively build relationships with enterprise technical stakeholders; lead Technical Health Reviews, product trainings, share technical best practices; monitor and identify trends in Afresh product adoption—e.g. process adherence, recommendation coverage, recommendation quality—and develop the standard toolkit for internal and external stakeholders to increase customer value. Translate customer-specific or product-specific nuance into technical insights for the Afresh Machine Learning and Data Engineering team for continuous model improvement. 

The initial category focus will be produce and KPIs are retention, partner NPS, and qualitative feedback.

Skills and experience
The following represent attributes our ideal candidate possesses. We encourage all highly-qualified candidates to apply, even if they do not fulfill all the listed criteria.

  • Technical customer-facing experience with a data-heavy, enterprise SaaS product.
  • Aptitude for both analyzing technical concepts and translating them into business terms, and for mapping business requirements into technical features.
  • Experiencing project beta launches forward with customers. 
  • Track record in translating complex technical issues into tangible solutions.
  • History of proactive, technical enablement with diverse teams that support end-to-end business processes across the customers’ value chain, e.g. technical training, support for iPad app version updates, generating SQL-based reports to monitor system health.
  • Thorough familiarity with the database, application and network technologies used in Cloud Computing (e.g. database concepts and SQL)
  • Ability to query large data sets and help standardize reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Understanding of cloud-based infrastructures, ETL pipelines, RDB and API configurations
  • Experience with Snowflake and Mode
  • Knowledge of the software development process and of software design methodologies 

The following are skills are nice to have, but not required

  • Early-stage team builder 
  • Exposure to X-code, TensorFlow, API management 
  • Experience with Machine Learning and model management 
  • Experience working in at least one of the major cloud service provider environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Past experience with supply chain or inventory management systems
  • Proficiency in Python
