Your mission
As Senior Business Development Pioneer (all gender rolles) in the field of geothermal energy, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new business customers as well as maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Customer identification and acquisition: You identify and contact potential customers in the geothermal energy sector and build sustainable relationships. You will develop strategies to open up new markets.
  • Customer support: You are the main point of contact for existing customers, advising them on their individual challenges and ensuring that their needs are at the centre of attention.
  • Analysing requirements and developing customer-specific solutions: You will analyse customers' technical and economic requirements and develop tailored geothermal solutions together with our technical experts.
  • Offer and contract management: You will prepare customised offers and negotiate complex contracts for large-scale projects that contribute to increasing energy efficiency and the use of geothermal energy in the long term.
  • Market development: Through your active involvement, you will support the further development of the geothermal energy market and identify new trends and business opportunities.
  • Market feedback and product optimisation: You continuously collect feedback from the market and work closely with product development to further improve solutions.
  • Market development: You position Orcan Energy as an innovation leader in the field of geothermal energy, inform the market about our technologies and contribute to raising awareness among potential customers.
  • Negotiation management: You conduct contract negotiations independently and successfully close deals.
  • Strategic partnerships: You build and maintain strategic alliances with companies and organisations to promote the growth of the geothermal business.
Your profile
  • Professional experience: Several years of professional experience and proven success in international sales and the development of new business areas for asset-based solutions requiring explanation, ideally in the energy sector in respective markets.
  • Market knowledge:  Familiarity with the different markets and the respective energy business environment (regulatory, pricing,...).
  • Understanding of local business practices: Knowledge of business culture and etiquette; ability to navigate and communicate successfully in different cultural contexts       
  • Experience in dealing with local authorities: Understanding of regulatory frameworks and approval processes
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and action: High level of initiative, strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to “pioneer” new business opportunities,                                                               entrepreneurial personality, with the ability to recognize and seize opportunities,                                     strong analytical skills, the ability to understand complex market developments and a feel for trends and future developments.
  • Education: Successfully completed studies in business administration, engineering or a related field.
  • Project management: Experience in coordinating complex, international projects.
  • Technical understanding: Basic knowledge of ORC technology desirable.
  • Language skills: Business fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel.
