At Air Products, our purpose is to bring people together to reimagine what’s possible, collaborate and innovate solutions to the world’s most significant energy and environmental sustainability challenges. Grow with us as we embark on building tomorrow together by being the safest, most diverse and most profitable industrial gas company in the world.

Reimagine What’s Possible

Air Products pioneered the “on-site” concept of producing and selling industrial gases in 1940. That ground-breaking idea not only launched our company, it launched the industrial gas industry we know today. Since then, we have built a reputation for our innovative culture, operational excellence, and dedication to safety and the environment. Today, we are delivering some of the largest and most complex projects in the history of Air Products and are fully engaged in finding solutions to the world's environmental and sustainability challenges.

We help our customers become more productive, energy efficient, and sustainable. With approximately 23,000 employees and operations in 50 countries, we serve customers across a variety of industries (over 30!) from food and beverage to medical, energy, and transportation. We supply a unique portfolio of atmospheric and process gases, equipment, and services. We own and operate a diverse portfolio of industrial gas plants, develop innovative technology, applications, and equipment solutions, and internally perform the engineering, procurement, and construction of our own plants.

The North American Reliability Manager leads the Reliability Operating System (ROS) program for over 300 industrial gas sites and various technical teams. You will work alongside other engineering managers and site managers to identify site and fleet-wide reliability improvement initiatives. In this role, you will primarily be focused on leading the reliability program in our air separation businesses as well as liquid hydrogen (H2), carbon dioxide (CO2), and occasionally helium (He) processes. The role will also partner closely with Global Operational Excellence to drive reliability improvement initiatives within HyCO (Hydrogen and Carbon Monoxide or SynGas). In the future, it is expected that you will support growth areas such as green and blue hydrogen, carbon capture (CCS), and ammonia processes.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of both 25 and 34 series operating standards and who possesses an understanding of EPC or Project Delivery design protocols and associated work processes. This role involves coaching and mentoring of site managers, site supervisors, maintenance managers and engineers in the application and use of Air Products specifications, policies, and procedures.

To be successful you will need demonstrated leadership skills, broad based technical abilities, and a financial background since reliability recommendations must consider payback analysis and business constraints. Strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential to the position.

This role can be based out of our offices in either Houston, TX or Allentown, PA, and expected travel is 25%.
