We are adding a Quality Engineer to the team! The Quality Engineer provides reliability and quality engineering support and solutions for new and ongoing programs within the Imaging organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Support all Quality Engineering and Mission Assurance related requirements including but not limited to the following: 

  • Support all QA customer on-site visits and Source Inspection activities

  • Make sure TIS, QC has inspected and accepted all product prior to customer review

  • Provide contract flow downs and development of SOW’s for all critical parts.  Include customer feedback into external and TIS incoming inspection requirements

  • Conduct on-site audits and support source inspection requirements as required

  • Work with suppliers on SCAR’s and corrective action closure

  • Incorporate customer workmanship expectations/requirements

  • Update workmanship procedures and work with Quality Control and QC Inspectors based on customer Source Inspection requirements throughout the build/test process at TIS

  • Support all QA related CDRL/MAR requirements

  • Identify critical processes for flight products and provide procedures, training and checklists to support the implementation of the “buddy system” as required 

  • Identify and reduce program technical and process risks

  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions

  • Schedule/Chair Material Review Board (MRB) meetings within 24 hours of initiation for all programs

  • Prepare Quality Reports, Consent to Ship and End Item Data Package (EIDP) as required

  • Support all QA, Manufacturing and Test processes throughout the build cycle

  • Develop and provide input to APL (Approved Parts List) and ASL (Approved Suppliers Lists). Recommends and assists in selecting sources of supply and alternate sources of supply.

  • Reviews all requests for new components and components to assure that a current part can satisfy the requirements.  Assists design engineers in selections of parts that best fit their applications.

  • Successfully deliver contract compliant parts to the customer 

  • Support and maintain the ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System

                                   

Qualifications & Competencies  

To perform the job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Possess strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage a reliability program

  • Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment – high sense of urgency in completing projects

  • Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve complex problems

  • Can organize and deliver presentations that communicate complex issues simply yet accurately

Education and/or Experience             

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering disciplines and 5+ years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience in Aerospace

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in design, reliability, maintenance or component engineering. 

  • Familiar with AS9100 QMS

  • Be proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

Salary Range:

$74,800.00-$99,880.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
