The opportunity
HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
In this role you will be a part of our Products Organization (Valves) and Global Product Support team.
As a Project Manager, you will be part of a dedicated team of eight professionals responsible for ensuring a harmonized product and production portfolio. Your key responsibilities will include leading various product improvement projects to address quality issues, project specific requirements and enhance product performance.
How you’ll make an impact
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and testing, to ensure product improvements are seamlessly implemented and aligned with company goals.
Lead initiatives to ensure all enhancements meet or exceed organizational quality standards while safeguarding the product’s performance and integrity.
Drive the execution of product development workstreams, addressing unique customer requirements, supplier changes, and quality optimization opportunities.
Take ownership of planning, budgeting, and coordinating projects, working in tandem with technical experts, supply chain management, testing, and assembly teams to deliver high-impact results on time and within budget.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration, ensuring all team efforts contribute to long-term organizational success.
Your background
You have a university degree (Masters) in electrical engineering or similar.
Project management experience, with a PMP certification as a merit, ensuring expertise in planning and delivering complex projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions.
Proven leadership experience in dynamic, technically challenging environments, with the ability to guide teams and drive results.
You are fluent in English (written and spoken), with basic proficiency in Swedish as a merit and openness to further language development.
