We are currently seeking an experienced project professional to support our (estimated) 5-year transformational journey around HR Time and Payroll in the temporary role of Global HR Project Manager, Time and Payroll to start from 01.01.2025 or at the soonest thereafter. The position is ideally located close to any of our Wärtsilä offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, Poland, UK and Finland. Our company and project language is English.
What will you be doing?
This position reports to our Head of Tech, Strategy & Insights, in whose team we centralize all our HR Project Management roles and will have a matrix reporting to our Global HR Project Lead, Time and Payroll. The allocation of the role will be 100% to the Time and Payroll project. You will work closely with all stakeholders involved, from Specialists on Country Level up to our CHRO. Due to the magnitude and complexity of our project, you will engage with nearly all HR levels or Support Functions.
At best, you meet all or most of the below requirements for the role / Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
Project Management Certification: Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) to demonstrate formal training and expertise in managing complex projects, or deep vocational experience in managing projects.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess current processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with HRIS technologies such as SuccessFactors (i.e., Employee Central and EC Time Off, Time Tracking) and a basic understanding of integration scope and technology as well as knowledge of payroll operating platforms and engines (including e.g., wage type catalogues).
System Modernization: Experience in replacing legacy software and implementing modern, integrated systems.
End-to-end Process Proficiency: Proven track record in E2E streamlining and improving processes around HR Time and Payroll, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness (i.e., HR, Finance, local authorities, etc.).
Compliance and Risk Management: Experience in ensuring compliance with global standards and managing risks associated with payroll and time management processes.
Vendor Management: Ability to manage relationships with external vendors and ensure they meet the organization's requirements and standards.
Global Alignment: Ability to implement processes that ensure compliance across multiple locations and streamline operations.
Change Management Skills: Strong change management skills to guide the organization through the transformation process, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively manage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment and support for the project.
Cultural Awareness: Ability to work in diverse, both global and local environments, and understand cultural differences that may impact the project.
Employee Empowerment: Experience in setting up environments in which empowering employees through self-service features and improving overall user experience are fostered.
