We are Skeleton Technologies, a Global Cleantech 100 company and the global technology leader in fast energy storage. We have acquired a former European Batteries Plant in Varkaus where we will start with our pilot production of our SuperBatteries. With this strategic expansion, Skeleton Technologies will accelerate the development and production of its SuperBattery and other new energy storage products on its technology roadmap. This ramp-up of manufacturing and R&D capacity will strengthen Skeleton’s position to serve the market needs for high-power fast-charging energy storage, and explore new technologies.

We are looking for Production Supervisors (m/f/x) to join our mission in Varkaus.


You will be assigned the following tasks:

  • Taking full responsibility for the shift in terms of personnel management, production management and quality objectives, and ensuring the smooth running of production processes.
  • Full responsibility for the quality and product produced within the shift in accordance with the company's quality systems, processes and procedures.
  • Monitoring, measuring and reporting (daily/weekly meetings) on production related process performance and general issues.
  • Ensure that good communication is communicated to all employees in writing or verbally.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to during the shift and all related matters are dealt with using resources within the organization in accordance with company health and safety guidelines.
  • Problem solving approaches are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take effective action quickly to resolve the issues at hand.
  • Work closely with other supervisors to ensure that production handovers act as an effective means of communication.
  • Ensure training skills are met for the current and future needs of the shift and contribute to people management and recruitment.
  • Take an active role in the company's continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth in the company.
  • Ensure a clean and safe workplace.
  • Effectively utilize the company's resources to ensure the best cost of ownership.
  • Making appropriate decisions while maintaining the organizational structure.
  • Meeting deadlines
  • Develop and maintain input into the development of standard operating procedures to be used by production employees on the shop floor.
  • Support the quality team to identify critical risks in the production processes.
  • Develop training programs and recruitment plans for production workers.
  • Develop control plans to ensure critical characteristics are controlled through the production process.
  • Managing production staff and developing team structures.
  • Resolve support issues, including root cause identification and corrective action tracking.
  • Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the production process and that no errors occur when leaving a station or team area.

Requirements

You are a good fit for the team if you can tick off the following boxes:

  • Completed vocational training, qualification as a master craftsman / technician or equivalent experience in a technical environment
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the production area desirable
  • Relevant experience as a shift supervisor or production supervisor in a manufacturing company.
  • Good knowledge of booking processes in an ERP system
  • Good comprehension and quick familiarization with new processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a structured way and independendently.
  • Strong communication skills, patience and perseverance.
  • Willingness to work in shifts.
  • Very good knowledge of Finnish and good knowledge of English.
