The Role

We are seeking a talented Surveyor, looking to step up into a Team Lead role to provide surveying industry knowledge and effective project management skills to support the activities and growth of our Traralgon office. As a team lead, your core responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that surveying tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
  • Providing leadership to team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of day-to-day project deliverables
  • Participate in strategic business development activities
  • Managing client relationships
  • Applying project management principles to deliver assigned projects to the required standard in a timely manner

About You

With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in a consulting environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work. Suitable applicants will have or be:

  • 8+ years’ experience in surveying, including several years at project manager level and/or managing teams
  • Relevant professional Surveying qualifications
  • Project experience in a range of client sectors (land development, mining, civil construction etc.)
  • Licensed Surveyor status will be well regarded but is not mandatory
  • Ability to provide key technical expertise and manage risks across a broad range of high-profile projects
  • A strong track record in managing, mentoring, and developing staff
  • Participate in strategic business development activities
  • Managing client relationships
