About the role:
The Contract Engineer is central to the successful execution of Exhaust Treatment marine agreements. This is achieved in partnership with the Contract Manager, and through coordination and oversight of technical details throughout the execution lifecycle. The position requires a genuine interest in marine technology, strong communication, good attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a structured and efficient manner.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Contract Manager with the management of agreements, particularly in terms of quality and risk
  • Participate in and coordinate basic and detailed design
  • Develop and deliver technical specifications for product procurement
  • Control and monitor supplier performance and delivery to customers
  • Participate in and coordinate annual internal audits
  • Prepare and manage technical information and documentation
  • Report, communicate, and discuss technical matters internally, with customers and suppliers
  • Complete other tasks as required by the Contract Manager for successful execution of projects
  • Participate in internal development projects as required
  • Continuously improve work processes and procedures

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering or similar is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Marine industry experience is helpful.
  • Previous experience supporting service agreement and product procurement for customer projects.
  • Must be able to work 2-3 days in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL office
  • Strong communication skills

Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship. Salary range is $65,000 - $90,000, depending on experience and education. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.  Eligibility to participate in: the discretionary incentive plan assigned to the level of position upon offer of employment; medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms; Company-paid benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, subject to applicable waiting periods.  Paid time off (PTO) is accrued on a per-pay period basis in accordance with tenure in the Company; a new hire can expect 17 days per year. Twelve (12) Company-paid holidays.
