ClimatePartner UK is at an exciting moment.  For the last 4 years we have been growing a successful consultancy, and our team of 30 supports over 250 clients. 

We are looking for a Senior or Lead Consultant (depending on experience) to join our growing consulting team.This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and relationship-driven consultant with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our consulting team and have an impact by inspiring action across the Net Zero journey for large and complex clients. 

Specific responsibilities include: 

Client leadership:
 
  • Independently manages strategic key accounts that need advanced consulting and expertise across multiple projects, with associated revenue responsibility
  • Grows key accountsleveraging strategic thinking and an impact-first approach to identify opportunities to partner across the entire Net Zero cycle 
  • Builds trusted advisor relationships, deeply understanding client goals and challenges to drive long-term collaboration via multi-year framework agreements
  • Ensures high importance projects are delivered in scope and to the highest degree of quality with the right delivery team, predicting and mitigating risks up front
  • Leads high importance client calls with C-level stakeholders, leveraging storytelling and emotive communication to ensure messages land with credibility, clarity and impact 
  • Uses client insights to prioritise the development of new service lines required to meet client needs, ensuring they are scalable and repeatable
  • Facilitates the end-to-end completion of consulting projects with the relevant delivery teamfrom carbon accounting, to target-settingreduction measure identification and quantification, to supplier and employee engagement 
  • Designs and facilitates complex in-person or virtual workshops for clients, driving buy-in of multiple stakeholders and key decision makers
 
Internal leadership:

  • Raises the quality of consulting work produced across the consulting team, creating new best practice and templates where necessary
  • Mentors less responsible members of the team, joining others' client projects to share expertise and account management expertise, particularly where there are knowledge gaps
  • Shares learnings from project delivery with the teamincluding via. presentations to the team and through the provision of shadowing opportunities
  • Champions internal processes, ensuring that new practices are embedded within the team by liaising with consultants, analysts and team leads
  • Acts as a thought leader, publishing technical content publicly whilst upskilling the team on their findings


Who you are
  • You have professional experience leading large corporate customer accounts  
  • You have professional experience in environmental / sustainability consulting, professional services or equivalent in-house role, or in a non-sustainability industry-specific role 
  • You have exceptional communication skills and can build trust by communicating effectively with senior stakeholders and budget holders at a management and board-level  
  • Strong project management, account management and analytical skills 
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting and sustainability reporting (e.g. various GHG protocol standards (Scope 2 guidance, Scope 3 guidance, value chain, corporate standard)) 
  • Good knowledge of sustainability and carbon reporting (including but not limited to SBTi, CFD)  
 
Desired, but non-essential: 
  • Good knowledge of ClimatePartner-focused industries and carbon accounting specifics that apply: food, textiles, cosmetics, logistics, investments, financial and professional services 
  • Advanced knowledge of beyond value chain mitigation, green/renewable energy certificates 
  • General sustainability knowledge (waste, circular economy, sustainable finance, biodiversity, air pollution, social impact etc.) desirable
