Cleanleaf Energy is seeing a Contract Manager to join our Operations team!

About the Position:
This position will report to the VP of Operations and will be part of the Cleanleaf Operations team. The primary responsibilities of this position are contract and customer relationship management, including oversight of the NERC Operations Center.
Position Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
General
- Contractual documentation management
- Support business development activities, review and negotiation of contracts
- Develop and maintain relationships with system owners according to the requirements of the contract manager
- Elaboration of reports including financial and administrative KPI analysis
- Monitoring of communication between the various internal teams (Ops center, field teams, support services, EXT.)
- Monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management, including financial performance against budgets, cashflows and P&L
- Review daily / monthly documentation and reports prepared by ops and engineering to review with the system owners
- Support internal reporting, including review of field reports and production reports that are sent to system owners
- Verify and periodically monitor the energy metering of the plants by directly managing the ROC operators and remote SCADA monitoring controls
- Ensure good governance and that all safety, contractual, and corporate regulations and Utility policies are properly complied with, by the field management teams responsible for the day-to-day operations of the systems
- Support in the audit of the systems
- Establish and uphold relationships with clients
- Support the legal department in any legal action and/or claims
- Gather feedback to update contract documents, contract management tools and contracting process through a continuous improvement process
- Facilitate contract compliance tracking on all utility sites
- Align internal stakeholders to ensure contract reviews and finalization are performed in a timely manner
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Prime Contracts
- Review Prime Contract Documents for scope and cost alignment
- Work with the safety team to build Project-specific risk matrix for Operations team to report on risk mitigation measures and potential risk exposure
- Work with Site Supervisors to review the Scope of Work and Schedule to ensure all understand
- Lead weekly internal meetings with direct reports to ensure they stay guided and understand required tasks
- Management of and support for Site Supervisors of Utility and the Utility Ops Center Manager.
Document Control and Contract Templates
- Maintain document control and standard filing and review process
- Work with business development to improve contract templates and contract libraries, including Prime Contract and related Exhibits
- Maintain contact with the Finance department for accounting, planning, controlling & reporting activities and in the preparation of financial statements and other relevant reports and statements for management
- Preparation and control of the Assets’ financial budgets, periodic variance analysis, and guarantee management
- Contract management, administration, and invoicing e.g. external asset management contracts, operations & maintenance, power purchase agreements, insurance etc.
- Management of site contracts to ensure reporting requirements are met
- Monitoring of all compliance under Financial Agreements
- Support procurement and negotiations of contracts with third party service providers
- Ensure good governance and that all safety, contractual, and utility regulations and system owner policies are properly complied with, by the monitors and field teams running the day-to-day operations of the asset
- Support in the audit of the assets
- Support the legal department in any legal action and/or claims related to contracts
- Update contract documents, contract management tools and contracting process through a continuous improvement process.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; an advanced degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in contract administration and/or management
- Strong background in reviewing and understanding contracts with demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of energy projects is preferred, especially solar projects
- Project Management experience, including achieving contract deliverables, adhering to contractual standards and enforcing subcontracts
- Understanding of construction scheduling and schedule analysis
- Ability to collaborate with area supervisors, field technicians, contractors and engineers to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and implement appropriate solutions
- Experience in applying organizational standards when reviewing contracts and giving feedback to terms
- Robust skills in Microsoft Office software (including Word, Excel, and Project) and Google Suite (including Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides)
- Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow
- This role requires a pre-employment background screening, including drug test.

The targeted pay scale for this role is $135,000 - $175,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on an assessment of factors including the successful candidate's experience, skill, and other job-related factors.
