The purpose of this role:The successful Climate Sales Executive will devise appropriate strategies to identify, qualify and ensure commercial contract wins through strategic, tactical, and hands-on ownership of all aspects of new business acquisition, capture management and proposal development.

This role can be REMOTE and based elsewhere in US

Your critical responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Prospect to develop and grow the key stakeholder relationships within strategically targeted companies across    multiple verticals in your region
  • Leverage professional relationships and market knowledge to shape emerging opportunities.
  • Develop capture plans for each identified opportunity and convert to meet revenue targets
  • Obtain competitive intelligence and data on targeted pursuits and lead competitive assessments.
  • Oversee proposals to ensure they align with company goals and maximize our chances of capture.
  • Support creation and execution of multi-year business development strategies that include: Engagement plans for   current and future customers, setting of financial targets for specific customers
  • Advocate resource planning needs to support growth goals vs. ongoing current contract performance.
  • Travel required, as needed in support of business development efforts, including short notice.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years in uncovering, supporting, and transacting complex SaaS agreements at enterprise level or large partnership/channel agreements
  • Proven track record effectively selling to C-level executives in a new, rapidly evolving market segment
  • Ability to succeed – independently and as part of a team – in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to leverage existing network and relationships to drive revenue
  • Demonstrated passion to understand the details of technically complex solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Atmospheric Science and Data a plus
