We’re looking for a seasoned Director of Brand & Communications to own our corporate marketing function, including brand strategy, PR, and community programs. In this new role, you will lead a team of content, communications and community professionals to build brand awareness and affinity through brand editorial, experience and amplification. What you’ll do:

  • Define and build a communications function that can manage all external communications, PR and media relations
  • Enable all internal teams to have a shared language for company purpose, vision, values, culture, positioning, and voice
  • Position Aurora as a category leader through a strong media program including product and company news, thought leadership, and data-driven storytelling
  • Partner with the PR agency to drive brand awareness and reputation, thought leadership, and share of voice
  • Plan and execute major communications strategies and campaigns to support Aurora’s growth and brand objectives
  • Grow the company’s annual virtual summit into the premier industry gathering for solar professionals
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute the communications strategy for social impact and ESG
  • Refine our employer brand narrative to help the company attract diverse, top tier talent

What we value:

  • Prior experience managing corporate marketing, brand marketing, or communications function
  • A passion for translating product messaging, customer wins and market insights into broader market narratives
  • Ability to build deep and meaningful relationships throughout the organization and with external stakeholders (media, influencers, customers, partners)
  • A big picture thinker who can shape ambiguous ideas and break down complex and projects to deliver results
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
