Position Summary 
The Commercial Portfolio Operations Specialist will support the management of assigned distributed generation solar assets to ensure optimal performance for the Portfolio Operations Team’s solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage asset portfolio. This role will report to the Operations Manager, while also working closely with Portfolio Operations Managers and Performance Managers on the Commercial Operations Team. The qualified candidate will work in a supporting role and act as the secondary point of contact for clients. They will be involved with activities from the client & asset onboarding, reporting review and delivery and overall client satisfaction. A large portion of the role will be on a special coordination project for a large number of assets. The project includes field service partner management and scheduling and coordination to meet specific deadlines. This role requires a detail oriented self-starter skilled at managing multiple tasks and priorities. The candidate has a proven track record of excellent customer service and client communications skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the management and oversight of a portfolio of roughly 300 MW of distributed solar assets 
  • Be the secondary point of contact for clients 
  • Create and manage tickets for planned and unplanned service activities
  • Ensure all annual maintenance service tasks are completed per contractual requirements 
  • Support the generation and preparation of quotes for service activities
  • Assist in the coordination & management of service activities with partners in our field service network 
  • Engage in and support recurring field service network partner check in calls
  • Maintain and improve upon the relationships with asset stakeholders. i.e. Site owners, facilities personnel, etc. 
  • Review and deliver service visit report deliverables to clients assigned
  • Contribute to the development & revisions of Omnidian's standard operating procedure library

  • Be willing to learn in a fast paced industry 

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience 
  • At least 1 year of office experience in the solar energy industry
  • Experience with client account management

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Ability to independently make decisions and solve problems 
  • Exercises good judgment. Takes ownership of issues or questions and will escalate problems to the appropriate persons and follow up accordingly with the customer. Knows when to involve supervisors. 
  • Highly organized and process oriented

  • Proficient with G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets) 
  • Working knowledge of CRM applications
