Responsibilities / TasksTHE POSITIONTo provide Design/ detail Engineering and other technical support in the preparation/presentation of proposals and projects.The key priorities for the role:<ul><li>Upon securing a contract / order the incumbent (depending upon the size and complexity of the project) may be required to operate independently or as part of a project team to develop General arrangement and Fabrication /manufacturing of Components, Structures Ducting as well as other document’s/drawings for the project.</li></ul>The tasks and responsibilities for the role include: <ul><li>Hands on Design experience of Food/ Beverages/ Dairy equipment like Tanks (Atmospheric /pressurized and jacketed), Shell and tube type condenser and callendria, ducting system is highly desirable.</li><li>Ability to understand the Design analysis report Generated on Design software/ program, Manual or MS office base and Design code.</li><li>Knowledge about Equipment, Ducting, Structure Etc.</li><li>Hi-proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD mechanical,</li><li>Work cooperatively with the team of engineers and technical staff in the Business Unit in the preparation of quotations and execution of projects as and when required.</li><li>Create drawings from basic 2D/3D required to complete a project; drawing multiple views of the system, components/Equipment, and parts; depicting relationship of components and parts; identifying dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances, and materials.</li><li>Participate in the review of plant, equipment and structures as required.</li><li>Schedule and control own workflow to meet deadline commitments.</li><li>Undertake control of design and drafting for small to medium sized projects as required.</li><li>Preserve and improve design knowledge and experience.</li><li>Check prints by utilizing GEA checking procedures.</li><li>Work cooperatively with the Company administrative staff.</li><li>Develop the Drawings according to given sketches, P&amp;ID’s, layout, and specifications under the direction of engineering team.</li></ul><ul><li>Administration<ul><li>Maintain appropriate records by filing drawings, project notes and specifications using the local regions filing procedures.</li><li>Keep up to date on all new products, product changes and general processing trends.</li><li>Prepare weekly timesheets and project reports.</li><li>Assist in other parts of the Company's business as required to ensure the overall effectiveness of the Company.</li></ul></li></ul>Travel Requirements:<ul><li>The Engineer will be based in Vadodara Office.</li><li>Travel Which may involve extended periods stay on sites, throughout India location, may require based on Project requirement. ​</li></ul>Key Relationships:<ul><li>Members of LPT-10.1.2.2 Technical design Teams</li><li>Sr. Manager: LPT-10.1.2.2.1 Component Design 1 India</li><li>Director Technical Design: LPT-10.1.2 Global Engineering Pool India</li><li>LPT Matrix Organization</li></ul>Your Profile / QualificationsCANDIDATE PROFILETechnical Designer should be detail oriented, possess good English language communication skills, both verbal and written.Must be self-motivated.Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently as required.Qualification:Degree/Diploma mechanical EngineerExperienceMinimum 6 to 8 years of work experience in the field of mechanical design Engineering.Required languagesFull working proficiency in EnglishSoftware proficiency<ul><li>Autodesk Inventor</li><li>Autodesk Mechanical</li><li>Autodesk Vault</li></ul>Relevant work experience<ul><li>Hands on experience in design and detailing of Hygienic Equipment Design for Dairy/ Food/ Beverages, Ducting system/ Structural steel is highly desirable</li><li>Mechanical Drawing of Equipment, Ducting, structure, P&amp;ID, Layout, piping Etc.…</li><li>Detail drawing and dimensioning according to all international and Indian standard.</li></ul>Other Skills required.Computer literacy with demonstrated experience in using the Internet, Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel), MS Project preferred Etc..Interpersonal skills:<ul><li>Part of a team with a common design sense.
