THE ROLE

We are looking for a rockstar Business Operations (BizOps) Manager who will guide us through our next phase of growth in the US. Expect to wear many hats, work hand-in-hand with the rest of the US team, and have career coaching that will enable your growth beyond this role and further within the business.

The BizOps Manager will report directly to the US Head of BizOps and work hand in hand with counterparts in the EU, UK and Australia teams, as well as leaders within the US business.

The US business has seen exponential growth in 2021 driven by deals with delivery businesses that want to invest in rider safety and efficiency, and in particular supported by the recent wave of Convenience Grocery delivery growth. We need someone to see us through the next wave of growth, which we expect to be just as supercharged. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Help us achieve our next 10X growth in the US through:

  • Growth Strategy; helping us to build a plan for the future including answering key questions:
    • How many cities in the US should we expand to to meet our growth targets, and how should we operate in those cities?
    • Which business segments should we be focusing our sales efforts, and how many deals do we need to make to meet our sales targets?
    • As we also target individual customers (non-businesses), how should we position ourselves? Should we go after commuters or stick to couriers?
    • How do the answers to the above questions change as our hardware team in Australia make more and more vehicle types available to us next year?
  • Operational Excellence; ensuring our overall Operations act as like a well oiled machine - improving warehouse efficiency, fleet health, supply chain effectiveness, service levels and reporting
  • Customer Success; enabling our Enterprise team to blow our clients’ expectations out of the park through CSM playbooks and an integration with our clients
  • Project Management; being a Swiss Army knife and scoping, implementing and managing performance of cross-functional projects, ensuring Zoomo is able to deliver on key results
  • Business Performance & Planning; scoping out and coordinating the performance management metrics, dashboards and processes needed to ensure that we meet our targets
  • Team; being the voice of the US BizOps team to counterparts in the EU, UK and Australia. Additionally, we will want this person to help build up the Operational Strategy team, so we are looking for a candidate with strong leadership qualities who will be able to attract and hire other rockstars

Requirements

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree, with at least 2-4 years experience in consulting, strategy, operations, project management or any other related fields
  • Owners mindset and an ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
  • Track record of building things from the beginning and getting things done
  • Excellent communication with the ability to engage and align internal stakeholders
  • Analytical expertise along with experience leveraging data to inform and support critical decisions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Relevant industry (bike, automotive, mobility, startup, technology) experience advantageous
