Job Description

Who we are

Station A is the first AI-powered clean energy marketplace that aims to make clean energy cheaper, more accessible, and more transparent to everyone. Our mission is to transition the world to 100% clean energy.

We are a seed-stage company and passionate team of ten, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Multiple projects have now run through our marketplace, we have over 2,000 providers in our network, and we have a growing pipeline of more than $600M in clean energy projects under evaluation by buyers. We're now looking to scale our impact and enable anyone to easily power a building with 100% clean energy.

Your contribution

As Marketing Leader at Station A, you will be the key stakeholder managing the company's external communications, developing content, and running campaigns. You will play a critical role in growing the reach of Station A across the clean energy buyer community, while helping expand the Station A provider network. By leading Station A's marketing efforts, you will help build a vibrant clean energy marketplace, and ultimately make clean energy cheaper, more accessible, and more transparent to everyone. Your expected start date will be in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Your role

As Marketing Leader at Station A, you will play an integral role in growing the company's reach and brand recognition:

  • Design and execute a growth marketing strategy that generates and accelerates opportunities and pipeline in line with business goals
  • Create marketing messaging and develop personas for key target accounts that aligns content and marketing campaigns to the customer journey
  • Develop effective demand generation campaigns and optimize marketing activities across all digital channels
  • Forecast, measure, analyze, and report campaign performance to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate impact on revenue and pipeline
  • Identify new offline opportunities including events and trade shows to engage with prospect community
  • Manage marketing budget to deliver to specific business goals
  • Manage social media presence and grow following
  • Help grow the Station A brand
  • Help build a dedicated marketing team as the company expands

Additionally, you will collaborate regularly with the rest of the team:

  • Work with the business team to identify customer segment and develop pre-sales collateral
  • Work with the engineering team to deploy new marketing tools and develop new marketing workflows
  • Work with the product team to put together the marketing campaign calendar
  • Work with the customer success team to develop post-sales collateral

Your perspective

One of our key strengths is in combining diverse perspectives/backgrounds to help challenge the status quo of the clean energy industry. For this particular role, we are looking for someone with an analytical mindset, good knowledge of marketing automation tools, and experience executing campaigns across a variety of channels. We value creative thinking, clear and thoughtful communication, as well as effective project management skills with keen attention to detail. Prior experience in the clean energy industry is not a requirement.
