Job Description Summary:

As a member of the Technical Advisory Department, the Project Manager will be part of the Engineering & Construction team, with the aim of providing services globally from offices in Milan, Italy.
His/her main role will be to comprehensively lead and manage projects for the implementation of photovoltaic and wind systems. His/her responsibilities include the planning, supervision, execution and completion of these projects, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements, as well as established deadlines and budgets. In addition, he/she will act as the main point of contact between clients, contractors and technical teams, ensuring client satisfaction and efficiency in project execution. Furthermore, the project manager will manage and provide technical support during Teder phase.

Job Description:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead the planning, execution and closing of photovoltaic projects, covering all phases, from start to final delivery.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis, participating in technical and economic studies to assess the feasibility of new renewable energy projects.
  • Supervise all stages of the project, ensuring compliance with established milestones, schedules, budgets and quality standards.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal and external teams (suppliers, contractors and clients) to ensure fluid communication and efficient execution.
  • Control costs and prepare detailed budgets, ensuring that the project remains within the allocated resources.
  • Identify and manage risks, proposing proactive solutions to avoid deviations in deadlines and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations applicable to renewable energy projects.
  • Prepare technical, financial and project status monitoring reports, addressed to both management and the client.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adequate coordination between the different departments involved.
  • Support in grid connection process and grid code compliance verification, helping our grid connection experts.
  • Manage the relation and the relevant fulfilments with authorities and sector organizations such as GSE, TERNA, E-distribuzione and Agenzia Dogane.
  • Perform site visit to projects in development or already in operation to identify any issues that could affect the project both during the construction or the operational phase.
  • Monitoring of the projects under construction, to detect any deviation and issues that may affect the project during the operational phase.
  • Support the construction team in the Owner´s Engineering services.

Key requirements:

  • MSC in Electrical, Energy, Industrial Engineer or similar
  • Masters in renewable energy or project management (PMP, PRINCE2) will be considered a plus
  • Technical knowledge of solar PV and wind
  • Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale projects, coordinating technical teams and handling complex budgets
  • Knowledge and experience in using the main webportal of GSE, E-distribuzione, TERNA, custom management will be considered a plus
  • 2-3 years of experience in the energy market as a minimum
  • Communication skill in order to create a solid and proactive relationship with grid operator and institutional authorities that can be part of the process of energization of the plant
  • Experience in Consultancy and the Renewable Market
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office package, AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Project
  • Language Skills: English: TOEIC 800+, C1 level or similar, Spanish will be considered a plus

Desired requirements:

  • PV and wind projects development experience in Italy
  • Charter Engineer qualifications will be considered a plus
  • Experienced in Construction of Energy Plants and/or Substations
  • Other renewable markets experience (CSP, Biomass, Hydro...)
  • Knowledge of specialized software, especially PVsyst and WindPRO
