Job Purpose
The Inventory Control Specialist will take a leading role in all inventory movement and control activities, including inbound/outbound data entry, creating and maintaining work orders and overall maintaining inventory accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory control measures both physically and in the ERP System relevant to the Crane Yard operation and implementing WMS best practice.
- Responsible for maintaining +98% inventory accuracy in ERP system for Crane Yard Operations.
- Lead the Work Orders, shipping, receiving, and inventory transfers for Crane Yard Operations.
- Regularly review inventory levels of service parts to ensure necessary parts availability to reduce machine downtime while ensuring maximum cost containment. (Set stocking levels)
- Work with Purchasing to place ad hoc spare parts orders as needed.
- Receiving requests from customers and employees and shipping parts out to job sites promptly.
- Communicate with stakeholder’s status of parts requests.
- Reconcile customer (internal and external) concerns/issues, including answering queries and providing open purchase order reports.
- Provide guidance to Fleet Operations team members for all administrative and performance-related activities.
- Coordinate booking request execution with logistics manager and carriers for larger parts.
- Responsible for maintaining records and files related to Crane Yard inventory including all inbound, outbound, transfer, work orders and shipping documents.
- Support all safety, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations are adhered to.
- Support Director of Ops to meet Crane Yard Budget.
- Support in determining and measuring KPI’s to improve fleet operations team.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or logistics fields or equivalent experience
- +4 years’ experience in a mix of logistics, Warehouse Management, or service heavy equipment
- Reliable contributor with proficiency in attention to detail
- Customer service oriented with consistent and timely responses
- APICS Certification: CSCP or CLTD preferred (Or CSCMP equivalent)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and professional presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must possess experience in MS Excel; pivot tables, v-lookups, etc. NetSuite experience a plus
- Valid Driver License required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear.
- The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- The employee will be required to walk, crawl, crouch, climb ladders and be comfortable with heights to perform site observation/inspection duties related to this position.
