iSwap is TP ICAP's award-winning electronic trading platform for OTC interest rate derivatives, providing advanced trading functionality across Dealer to Dealer and Dealer to Client markets in Interest Rate Swaps.
iSwap operates low latency, high-throughput exchange technology for clients including global investment banks and inter-dealer brokers.
Role Overview:
The i-Swap Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the development, release and maintenance of functional and non-functional enhancements to the iSwap Trading system and related components delivered by the iSwap development team in Sydney.
Role Responsibilities:
- Project Management of all functional and non-functional development of the iSwap Trading system and related components, including change requests, correction and maintenance releases, as well as providing production support and resource allocation for production incidents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, software engineers and QA Analysts to ensure high quality delivery of new functionality according to business priorities.
- Oversee and influence the design, specification, development, testing and delivery of all software enhancements of the iSwap Trading system from the Sydney-based development team to the UK & US based technical teams.
- Develop and maintain project plans and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Manage and distribute the workload of the iSwap development team ensuring tasks are allocated according to relevant areas of expertise to ensure timely delivery of new features and code fixes.
- Work closely with the iSwap UK & US-based product teams to oversee and contribute to the production of high-quality specification documents with clearly defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Provide guidance and expertise in design and implementation decisions, attending development workshops and design meetings to ensure that business requirements are met.
- Support the iSwap development team with any queries on business requirements and functional design to ensure requirements are understood and software deliveries meet the expectations of the business.
- Ensure that changes are developed and tested to the highest standards, selecting the appropriate tools and methods to meet functional requirements in the most efficient and robust manner.
- Support the QA team by managing development and testing cycles to ensure efficient delivery and allocating development resource appropriately to ensure issues are resolved prior to releases.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best software design and development practices, making recommendations for improvements where appropriate.
- Support and engage in the Nasdaq-TP ICAP migration project, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to drive the migration whilst minimising impact on functional and non-functional changes.
Experience / Competences:
- Thorough, demonstrable understanding of the iSwap Trading system, its functionality and associated components including Trading Engine, API, XFE, TW & FIX.
- Extensive experience of planning, designing, developing and delivering software enhancements to the i-Swap Trading system under tight deadlines and changing priorities depending on business and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience of delivering complex software changes to meet demanding business requirements
- 10+ years’ experience of Project Management, analysis, design and delivery
- Excellent knowledge of interest rate derivatives, electronic marketplaces and trade flows
- Good people skills and the ability to communicate issues and timelines clearly and concisely, to team members and internal and external stakeholders of all levels
- Must be self-motivated, setting a high level of professionalism and excellence
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Overall, should be confident, enthusiastic and proactive
- Results driven – Able to deliver good quality accurate solutions to tight time-scales
