Your Roles

At Planet2050 we believe in the Empowered Product Teams concept and are building our product team using this approach. As a product designer you will have the opportunity to shape different software products and take part in activities such as:

User Research & Discovery

  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and focus groups to gather qualitative and quantitative insights.

  • Perform competitor and market analysis to identify industry best practices.

  • Create user personas and user journey maps based on research findings.

  • Analyze and interpret user data to inform design decisions.

Information Architecture & Content Strategy

  • Develop sitemaps, content hierarchies, and navigation flows.

  • Organize and structure information to optimize discoverability and usability.

  • Collaborate with content strategists and product managers to align content with user needs.

Interaction & Interface Design

  • Produce low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and design mockups.

  • Define and maintain consistent UI patterns, styles, and components.

  • Use design systems and style guides to ensure brand consistency across platforms.

  • Collaborate with developers to translate designs into functional interfaces.

Testing & Validation

  • Plan and facilitate usability testing sessions.

  • Analyze test results, synthesize feedback, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing outcomes.

  • A/B test design variations to optimize user engagement and conversion.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define requirements.

  • Present design concepts and rationale to internal teams and clients.

  • Foster a user-centered mindset throughout cross-functional teams.

  • Document design decisions, processes, and style guidelines for future reference.

Continuous Improvement & Professional Development

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and UX best practices.

  • Continuously refine UX methodologies and processes for efficiency and impact.

  • Champion accessibility and inclusive design principles in all deliverables.

  • Seek and act on feedback to enhance personal and team performance.

Your Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX and UI related roles.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

  • Strong portfolio of design projects

  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture

  • Proficient in design software (e.g. Figma, Balsamiq)

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus

  • Problem-solving aptitude

  • You have excellent oral and written skills in English. German is a plus.
