Maintenance Technician

Job Brief

As a Maintenance Technician, you will work with the lab services and facilities teams to provide optimal facility management in support of the technical teams’ needs. We will provide you with on-the-job training in areas specific to our equipment.

What You Will Do

• General assembly, installation and mounting of furniture and equipment
• Receive and open packages
• Coordinate with lab users and external service providers on cleaning, preventative maintenance, and inspection of various equipment
• Perform manual tasks around the lab such as organizing lab benches, stockroom, inventory and general facility maintenance
• Perform Hands hands-on facilities maintenance tasks as directed such as installing wall-mounts and moving gas cylinders

A stand-out candidate would show broad technical abilities, including but not limited to the following areas:

• Familiarity with hardware and power tools
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize a long list of tasks
• Strong desire and curiosity to learn new things
• Bonus: experience with plumbing, electrical, or home improvement projects and ability to troubleshoot basic issues
