Based in either Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane, you’ll provide a good level of technical design knowledge utilising sound electrical design principles and specialist software skills for the preparation of electrical design models for projects.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients (internal and external)</li><li>Interpret and document design requirements</li><li>Create designs using more complex design tools and techniques</li><li>Undertake design to a high standard and tight timeframes</li><li>Prepare client and technical reports</li><li>Support other streams in the delivery of high standard designs and verification</li><li>Supervision of drawing production for assigned tasks is undertaken in accordance with SMEC procedures as appropriate</li><li>Write complex reports and undertake peer reviews</li><li>Undertaking filing and calculations in accordance with the project requirements (i.e. calculation packages to include Design Statement, table of contents, etc.)</li></ul>About YouSuitable applicants will be able to/have:<ul><li>Tertiary Qualification (Engineering) or relevant Advanced Diploma from a recognised institution</li><li>At least 8 years’ professional Industry experience in primary substation design</li><li>Utilise mid-level design skills to undertake design on a range of small to medium projects</li><li>Undertake, monitor and manage successfully the design tasks on multiple varying size projects and apply business systems appropriately</li><li>Utilise knowledge gained from exposure to different disciplines and project models</li><li>Apply specific design guidelines.</li><li>Utilise good time management skills with the ability to plan workloads and meet deadlines</li><li>Work effectively across a variety of projects learning new skills and knowledge quickly and efficiently;</li><li>Be effective in managing client relationships and expectations (internal and external)</li></ul>How to ApplyAll applications must be submitted online.
