Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the activities of the Engineering group.
• Direct and coordinate plant Maintenance Department.
• Design, develop and implement automated systems to perform specific tasks.
• Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design, programming, testing, debugging and maintaining automation equipment and processes.
• Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Improve efficiency, reduce waste, lower costs and enhance productivity.
• Draws preliminary sketches and prepares layout and detail drawings.
• Oversees modifications to tool designs according to trial or production service data to improve tool life or performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial is preferred
• 10+ years engineering experience in Controls and Automation in a manufacturing plant environment;  5+ years or more of management in a plant setting.
• Automation including robotics; Project Management; PLCs including selecting and programming is required
• Process improvement and lean manufacturing; in an Automotive manufacturing environment is preferred
