About the role:

As the Facilities Technician, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and daily operations of our physical facilities. You will ensure our facility's compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations. You will take ownership of your assigned tasks and projects and help maintain the safety of our employees and security of our assets. You will report to the Director of Facilities, work with various members of our internal team, and coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for facility services.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary contact for any building issues and work requests including climate control, employee equipment moves, odors, smoke, spills and repairs, etc.
  • Troubleshoot equipment/building issues; conduct in-house repairs when possible or determine if outside vendor support is needed
  • Help maintain and monitor the building security/fire/life safety and respond to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis
  • Monitor and collect data to track the performance of the facility systems to ensure they are operating within the specified range
  • Maintain a clean facility and help with general housekeeping of the building
  • Provide guidance to and work with outside vendors and contractors to solicit bids and quotes, monitor performance, and ensure work is completed according to specifications
  • Participate as a member of emergency response team and safety committee
  • Work cross-functionally to address activities affected by building systems such as gas supply, humidity, etc.
  • Perform other maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Director

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Work experience related to building and equipment repair and preventative maintenance, project management, and vendor management.
  • Working knowledge of trade, environmental, health and safety codes, and regulations
  • Proficient in reading maintenance manuals, building drawings, and schematics
  • Experience with chemical handling, storage, and waste management
  • Experience following standard operating procedures

Compensation:

  • $80,000-95,000 annually
