Overview 

The Offtake Strategist will work with buyers to scale corporate offtake and accelerate the deployment of high-quality carbon removal, RECs, and SAF. This role is essential to scale high-quality carbon management and achieve our mission of helping companies decarbonize.

Responsibilities 

  • Support target setting, funnel development, and execution for high-quality offtake
  • Design and develop offtake structures that help buyers meet their climate goals and accelerate high-quality carbon projects into the market
  • Engage buyers on business development, sales, and partnership development
  • Own the acquisition and growth of key offtake accounts
  • Support buyers with portfolio design and execution
  • Work with marketing and leadership teams on processes and tactics to ensure successful interactions across offtake prospect engagements
  • Work strategically with Carbon Direct teams to improve conversion and retention rates. Create connective tissue between the marketing, sales, and account management functions

Qualifications 

  • Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic offtake/sales for inventory-based businesses that have driven revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with key clients and partners 
  • Familiarity with offtake agreement structuring, contract negotiations, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience building business development and/or sales pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to assess market dynamics, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong understanding of the carbon management and sustainability sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Proficient in CRM software.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Open to both UK and US-based applicants. 

Salary Range

£82,000-97,000 a year + bonus
