Junior Solar PV & BESS Engineer

To sustain our continuous growth, we are looking for a Junior Solar PV & BESS Engineer. You will be working with our team of experts from our headquarters in Brussels. Our dynamic team will be your continuous sounding board while you serve the needs of our customers.

Your job will be versatile and require dynamism. One day you will be with your boots on inspecting a construction site, the other day you will be behind your PC screen analysing the expected yield or fine-tuning a PV design.

In a nutshell, your main tasks will be:

·      You will perform energy yield calculations, using industry recognised software and internal tools & processes. 

·      You will analyse the results and produce client reports.

·      You will perform technical feasibility studies

·      You will perform site inspections before, during and after construction of projects.

·      Over time, you will also start interacting directly with customers, written as well as verbally.

At first you will work on a project managed by one of your colleagues and gradually you will be taking the role of project manager yourself. You will be working within out EMEA team, which is a combination of Resource Assessment, Due Diligence and Owner's Engineering experts.

Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic colleague who is eager to learn, and who can bring an open and flexible mindset.

Of course, there are some non-negotiables:

·      You hold a Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably in electrical engineering.

·      You have 1-3 years of relevant experience.

·      Affinity and interest for everything related to Renewable Energy.

·      You have strong organisation & prioritisation skills; you are stress-resistant, solution-oriented, and able to handle several projects simultaneously.

·      You are fluent in English & Dutch or French.

 

Bonus points for:

·      Knowledge on PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVCase

·      Available for short trips abroad (during the project construction monitoring period - usually for a few days/month). Occasionally we conduct longer-term assignments (-couple of weeks-) and travelling might be required.

·      Other languages are a big plus.
