About the Opportunity 

EnergyHub is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our legal team. The paralegal will work with departments across the company to provide general transactional legal support, coordinate and manage the department’s workflow process, and maintain various corporate and compliance records.   The legal team supports all aspects of the company’s business operations, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, compliance , corporate development, and strategic activities.  If you  like the idea of learning about a growing software business and being on the cutting edge of climate tech, this might be the job for you. 

Main Responsibilities: What you’ll do

  • Independently managing and administering the legal intake process, using independent judgment to assign, track, and resolve a wide range of legal matters
  • Assist the legal team in managing the full-cycle contract management process, including drafting, reviewing, facilitating approval and signature, uploading, and retrieving agreements
  • Developing and driving operational project and process improvement initiatives, policies, and procedures to support legal department and business
  • Maintaining and improving existing resources and creating new resources to support internal compliance, including contract summaries and post-closing transaction check-lists
  • Managing corporate records, including contracts, compliance requirements, insurance policies, and intellectual property portfolio 
  • Assisting attorneys with diligence projects and legal research requests
  • Responding to administrative requests (e.g., vendor forms, notarization, RFP requirements, requests for accounting confirmations)
  • Supporting work with outside counsel as necessary including managing outside counsel invoices and budgeting
  • Managing transaction summaries and signature requests
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience: What you need

  • 5+ years paralegal experience in a corporate, commercial, in-house and/or large law firm environment, with technology industry experience a plus
  • Strong ability to operate independently and take initiative, own projects, and juggle and prioritize multiple projects in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with superior attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with a wide range of legal matters including contracts, IP, regulatory and compliance issues
  • Tech-savvy and highly skilled in multiple software platforms and able to master new technologies quickly and troubleshoot issues independently

The salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience.  This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role.  The salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
