Responsibilities:

 

As an Automotive Technician, you’ll be responsible for ensuring Beep’s fleet of autonomous vehicles are always performing at their best. Your responsibilities will include:

Routine Inspections & Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance to keep our fleet running smoothly.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Work closely with the Beep Command Center to diagnose and resolve any mechanical issues, ensuring maximum service uptime.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, service procedures, and repairs for accuracy and future reference.
Collaboration: Work closely with vendors and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and maintain spare parts inventory.
Modifications & Upgrades: Manage aftermarket modifications, ensuring that all upgrades and changes are seamlessly integrated.
Quality Control: Ensure all inspection and maintenance procedures are consistently implemented across all service areas.


Performs other related duties as assigned.


The pay range for this position is approx. $75,000 annually. This is a salaried position. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. 

Requirements

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience working with autonomous vehicles (preferred), but we welcome fleet maintenance expertise!
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and calibrating vehicle components using proprietary software.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong safety-first mentality.
     

Education & Experience:

  • Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive fleet maintenance; experience with autonomous fleets a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and ASE certifications (A Series, H Series, L3 preferred).
  • Automotive Technician and/or dealership experience is a plus!
     

Additional Requirements:

  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% for fleet support and troubleshooting.
