Job Description
Terraformation is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist to assist the forestry team with their reforestation projects. Terraformation’s overall mission is to grow forests on 3 billion acres of land. Terraformation’s Forestry team is at the center of our company and the Supply Chain Specialist plays a critical role in support of our mission by:
Sourcing and obtaining necessary materials for Terraformation’s reforestation projects.
This role is detail oriented, requiring good time management skills and consistency so that the Forestry team is always well equipped to tackle the projects at hand and carry out Terraformation’s mission. Every detail of the project is important and must be approached with attention. As we move towards the electrification of our operation to reduce our own emissions, the Supply Chain Specialist will support the Forestry team in finding alternatives to the tools currently used across our team. We see ourselves as leaders in the transition towards a carbon neutral and minimal waste producing operation and we will look to our Supply Chain Specialist to actively support us in this transition.

There are many mechanisms, programs, and agreements that governments can implement to reduce carbon emissions and to sequester atmospheric carbon. However, we believe that none of these options are currently being executed at sufficient pace or scale to avert climate disaster. Terraformation aims to focus the world on pragmatically doing-what-can-be-done rather than hypothetical doomsday what-if scenarios.
The most immediate, affordable, and scalable solution to climate change is to plant an enormous number of trees. Terraformation will, directly or indirectly, create 3 billion acres of new forest land within the next 30 years in order to re-absorb 45B tons per year of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
It is Terraformation’s mission to accelerate natural carbon capture through forestry tech. We are committed to assisting partners remove bottlenecks to tree planting.

Responsibilities
- Purchasing equipment, material, supplies for the Forestry Team
- Sourcing and ordering materials needed for all Terraformation projects
- Organizing, keeping track of, scheduling, and receiving all shipments and deliveries
- Freight planning
- Obtaining various quotes for price comparison
- Planning and managing supply chain activities
- Managing and maintaining regular inventory items
- Creating and updating spreadsheets with purchased equipment and materials
- Dealing with product warranty issues or returns
- Maintaining the Forestry Team’s P.O Box
- Taking care of onsite trash
- Categorizing expenses
- Refilling portable gas and diesel cans, as well as company vehicles
- Collaborating with and assisting other departments within Terraformation to understand and assist in their supply needs
- Creating lasting vendor relationships with not just the best prices but quality products
- Moving supplies between the different locations we work on
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management, procurement, or operations management experience
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Experience with Microsoft excel
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience with Google Suite Tools
