The individual will be the first point of contact for our west coast locations for technical support and integrate as part of a larger team to work on projects and support activities across the organization. This role will be part of our growing IT team at Form and is a great opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects in a quickly growing company.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support to employees based in our Berkeley, CA campus as well as assisting other locations as needed
  • Configure, maintain and support IT hardware including user laptops, desktops and lab computersInstalling and configuring appropriate software according to specifications
  • Maintain and troubleshoot local networks in ways that optimize performance
  • Work on special projects and other Technical Support duties as time permits
  • Provide advice and guidance to all project teams regarding IT questions

What You'll Bring:

  • Ability to follow technical and procedural documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step instructions with accuracy
  • Ability to keep track of multiple simultaneous tasks without letting them slip through the cracks
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Linux (Ubuntu), and MAC operating systems
  • Flexible person with the ability to shift gears quickly and come back to original task as needed
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Command line troubleshooting and ability to use tools such as the Windows Event Log to identify issues
  • Understand the basics of networking and security forensics
  • Properly and safely diagnose, resolve, and document common hardware and software issues
  • Understand the basics of scripting, virtualization, desktop imaging, and deployment
  • Relevant IT certifications : COMP TIA A+ required, COMP TIA Security+ desirable
