Tradewater believes that a company committed to cleaning up the environment can be just as successful – if not more so – than a company that achieves its goals without regard to environmental impact. &nbsp; Non-CO2 gases account for nearly half of all global warming from human activity since 1970.&nbsp; Our work, referred to as “emergency brake solutions” by <a href="https://drawdown.org/news/insights/hitting-the-%E2%80%9Cemergency-brake%E2%80%9D-on-climate">Project Drawdown</a>, is essential to prevent catastrophic climate change. Our projects include the destruction of refrigerants and halon fire suppressants that are potent greenhouse gases and deplete the ozone layer. We also find, measure, and plug orphaned oil and gas wells that have no solvent operator and are leaking methane into the atmosphere. To date, we have permanently prevented over 7.5 million tons of CO2e from reaching the atmosphere and we are on a path to surpass 27 million tons of CO2e by the end of 2027. The Opportunity: To support its growth around the world, Tradewater is seeking a Market Development Innovation Manager to lead concept development and socialization, and to serve as a brand ambassador for Tradewater by leveraging relationships and creating connections. While Tradewater is based in Chicago, it has offices and team members around the world. This position can be based remotely, with the understanding that some travel is required. The position will report to the Director of Market Development based in Austin, Texas. Application materials for this position will be accepted through 1/31/25. Key responsibilities include: <ul><li>Leverage external networks and lead internal teams to develop concepts into products and services with clear value propositions.</li><li>Lead various product and service development efforts through the delivery of consumer and market insights and value proposition development.</li><li>Assist partners on an ongoing basis, promoting the value of Tradewater projects and finding opportunities for mutual wins.</li><li>Serve as the conduit between partners, market development, and other departments within Tradewater.</li><li>Build relationships with potential customers and partners to ensure long term retention by presenting program/project options and addressing any issues or concerns.</li><li>Communicate on behalf of Tradewater both verbally and written as a subject matter expert on the work that we do.</li><li>Generate and qualify a pipeline of leads through market research and outreach campaigns.</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct outreach to target partners via email, phone, teleconference, in-person meetings, and networking channels.</li><li>Support the development of content and marketing materials to aid in outreach and brand building activities.</li><li>Manage the tracking of outreach efforts and account activities via the use of Tradewater’s CRM and other tools.</li><li>Prepare proposals and engage in negotiations for partnership opportunities.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required with 5-7 years of sales and/or account management experience.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in product/service development principles and strategies.</li><li>Established network with corporate sustainability leaders is a plus.</li><li>Experience in the financial sector, understanding financial systems and how they work, is a plus.</li><li>Experience in conducting cold outreach and moving potential customers through a sales pipeline.</li><li>Great interpersonal skills and professionalism with the ability to interact, build and manage relationships with potential customers at all levels within an organization.</li><li>Strong research skills and business acumen with the ability to summarize findings and identify key insights.</li><li>A superb listener with the ability to make connections and find opportunities and solutions to complex problems.</li><li>Ability to lead cross-functional teams in the execution and delivery of services to customers that meet and exceed expectations.</li><li>Strong English language skills are required and knowledge of a second or more languages is highly preferred.</li></ul> Strong candidates will be able to work in a professional and remote environment and have the following abilities: <ul><li>Capacity to synthesize information in a clear and well-organized manner. </li><li>Capacity to work in multicultural environments. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Excellent organizational and project management skills.</li><li>Resiliency in overcoming objections and managing complex sales cycles. </li><li>Flexibility to work with stakeholders in different time zones. </li><li>High attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to complete tasks thoroughly and on time.</li><li>Results-driven and target-driven attitude.</li><li>Commitment to Tradewater's mission. </li><li>Ability to work independently.</li></ul> The Application Process &nbsp; If you are passionate about Tradewater’s mission and think you can be successful in this role, even if you don't check all the boxes, please apply. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, other position-related qualifications/skills, geographic location, and business needs. &nbsp; This position may be based in a variety of locations around the world.
