Since Helion's founding in 2013, we have raised over $1 billion from long-time investors such as Sam Altman, Mithril, and Capricorn Investment Group and new investors SoftBank and Lightspeed to propel us forward. Our last prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV). Now, we're turning up operations for Polaris, working towards delivering the world's first fusion power plant.

What You Will Be Doing:
You will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, ensuring Helion’s people strategy drives business impact at every level. You’ll challenge conventional thinking, coach leaders to think differently, and help scale strong management practices across the organization. This is a hands-on role where you’ll build for scale, lead high-impact initiatives, and shape the future of Helion’s leadership and culture. You will report to the Director of Talent & People Operations and this is an onsite role located at our Everett, WA office.
You Will:
Partner with senior leaders to connect talent strategies to business goals and drive team performance
Provide bold, honest coaching and hold leaders accountable for high-impact people decisions
Scale leadership effectiveness by embedding clear principles, developing tools, and building manager capability
Lead initiatives in organizational design, leadership development, and cultural alignment
Influence across functions to align stakeholders and accelerate progress on people priorities
Design scalable systems and infrastructure that support growth, operational excellence, and employee experience
Required Skills:
12+ years of experience in People or HR roles in high-growth, complex environments such as tech, hardware, manufacturing, or startups
Proven ability to influence executives on organizational strategy and people outcomes
Experience leading programs or initiatives with company-wide impact
Fluency across People disciplines with a demonstrated ability to apply them to business challenges
Operates with urgency, judgment, and autonomy—able to navigate complexity and drive outcomes quickly

Total Compensation and Benefits
Helion's compensation package includes a competitively benchmarked base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation is determined through a holistic evaluation of your experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity - ensuring fairness and transparency across our teams. We are committed to fostering a fair and equitable environment in every aspect of our operations, including compensation.
This is an exempt salaried role.
Annual Base Pay
$145,000—$200,000 USD
