We are looking for a Group leader of numerical liquid metal magnetohydrodynamic (LMMHD) to manage the activities of the numerical LMMHD group. In particular, this involves supervising the development of numerical tools and their use to predict, interpret and optimize free-surface liquid metal experiments and their interplay with fusion plasmas and solid objects, as well as with magnetic fields and temperature gradients. Your main responsibilities will be: *Modelling and analysis <ul><li>Coordinate the numerical modelling and theoretical analysis of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flows relevant to stellarator design such as: duct and open-channel flows, multi-phase flows, wall-bounded MHD turbulence subject to heat and/or mass transfers, magnetic field gradients etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Supervise the critical analysis of numerical results to give insight on the relevant physical mechanisms at stake </li></ul><ul><li>Build and sustain external collaborations with academic and/or industrial partners on computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) topics </li></ul><ul><li>Supervise technical solutions to meet process engineer’s specifications </li></ul>*Team management <ul><li>Be the ambassador of Renaissance Fusion's vision within your team, and promote its culture, values (speed, simplicity, fantastic realism, constructive interference and unified force) and policies. </li></ul><ul><li>Encourage collaboration at all levels of the organization. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure that your team is motivated to achieve its objectives. </li></ul><ul><li>Take an active role in talent development. </li></ul><ul><li>Comply with and enforce the highest Health, Environment and Safety standards within her/his team. </li></ul>*Scientific outcome <ul><li>Coordinate the writing, review and approval of patents and scientific papers. </li></ul><ul><li>Prepare scientific reports (presentations, posters, etc.) and represent Renaissance Fusion to scientific conferences and workshops. </li></ul><ul><li>Remain on the lookout for any scientific developments in his/her field of expertise. </li></ul>RequirementsDon't hesitate to apply even if you don't match all the requirements. Renaissance Fusion is the first Magnetic Confinement Fusion company in the EU.
